VMU International Cooperation Department has announced third (and the last one this academic year) competition for Erasmus+ students and recent graduate traineeship grants. Application deadline is 23rd of April.

Italy's University of Pavia Language studies graduate Ivan Aimi has arrived at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) this week to begin a 3-month Erasmus+ Traineeship in the International Office.

Kaunas is becoming more and more colourful with various languages spoken in the street, different cuisines offered by cafes and restaurants across the city. The Faculty of Science of the University of Zaragoza is organizing the International Science Week (ISWZ). It is a free program of activities aimed at letting foreign science students know the Faculty of Science, the university and the city of Zaragoza. The ISWZ will be held at the University of Zaragoza, from July 2nd to July 7th, 2017. Participation is free, and it includes accommodation, two daily meals and all activities.

Asta Pundzienė, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) was elected as a Vice-President of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). University of Twente Executive Board President Victor van der Chijs has been appointed the President of the ECIU, and José Mendes (Vice-Rector for Research of University of Aveiro, Portugal) has been appointed as a treasurer.

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Rector Assoc. Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius said possible changes at MRU are still in the discussion stage. International students at MRU can remain calm and rest assured that MRU will seek to strengthen and improve studies quality at the University, he said.

This week the global automation solutions giant Festo announced that it is to expand its Kaunas service centre, Invest Lithuania informs. The German company plans to employ an additional 300 finance, IT, document management, marketing and engineering specialists over the next three years, thus doubling its Kaunas-based team.
