This week the results of 2018 QS World University Rankings have been announced. Kaunas University of Technology has sustained its strong position among 2.7 percent of the worlds’ best universities. KTU is especially valued among employers – at 334 globally, the Employer Reputation indicator is the strongest one for KTU. In the latest QS World University Rankings 2018, Vytautas Magnus University was ranked among the top 3 per cent universities of the world. VMU once again proved to be the leading university in Lithuania by its internationality and was ranked by QS as one of four best universities in the country. Agency Invest Lithuania together with Investors’ Forum have started the initiative of evaluating study programmes of Lithuanian higher education institutions: Investors’ Spotlight quality mark was awarded to these programmes, which best matched business expectations. Kaunas University of Technology bachelor’s study programme of Economics was one of the five programmes awarded. Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) Armenian student Tatevik Hovhannisyan hopes to pursue a career in the diplomatic service, after she completes her Erasmus semester at MRU and Master's Degree studies. “Erasmus changed my life radically. It showed me that wherever you go, if you are eager enough you will achieve your goals, just don’t be afraid”, says Eric Mas Moncusi from Catalonia (Spain), who is currently ending his Erasmus study exchange in Kaunas University of Technology (KTU). Prof. Algirdas Monkevičius and Vice-Rector Dr. Inga Žalėnienė met with Korea's Dongseo University (DSU) Creative Startup Cluster CEO Prof. Kyongho Hahn. VMU Professor John Stewart Gordon, head of the Applied Ethics research cluster, will speak at the largest Baltic tech and innovations festival LOGIN in late May. The title of his paper is ‘Moral Rights for Intelligent Robots?’. In the end of May, Spanish was spoken loudly and proudly in the corridors of KTU Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts. The students and staff were invited to enjoy Spanish culture and traditions, to enjoy the sounds of Spanish language and music.
