Researchers at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU, Lithuania) are developing drinking water disinfection technology, which not only destroys microorganisms, but also provides long-term protection against wide range of them. Treated drinking water stored in the open is protected from secondary microbial contamination longer than 3 months. Used in the form of water purification tablets or liquid it is cost efficient and user-friendly way to provide clean water when there is need.

The results of international university ranking QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018 were announced today. This ranking evaluates and compares universities by various research and subject areas. This year only three Lithuanian universities are ranked in this ranking. They are ranked in 4 subject areas and 7 subject groups.

“QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018“ were published and Vilnius University (VU) was evaluated in 27 subjects out of 48. VU improved its positions in 22 subjects, compared to last year.
