The Curonian Spit pedestrian and bicycle path was officially opened in Smiltynė after reconstruction. Development options were presented today at the Panevėžys District Municipality for Via Baltica – pre-design solutions for the section from Kaunas to the Latvian border. In preparation for the further reconstruction of this strategically significant highway in Lithuania, 137.5 km of road on A8 (Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai) and A10 (Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Riga) are planned to be renovated by 2030.
