Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius says that in May 2015 the Government will submit to the Seimas a new draft of the Labour Code which will liberalise labour relations.

On Thursday, March 19th 2015, the Seimas of Lithuania accepted the law amendments on reinstatement of military conscription for consideration. MPs, however, want to specify the criteria of drafting, service time and to increase funding of professional army.

A new shift of rotating US forces in the Baltic States are arriving in Lithuania for combined training with military personnel of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
