During the 3rd ASEM transport ministers' meeting in Riga today, European Transportation Commissioner Violeta Bulc said that the Rail Baltica high-speed rail project will be allocated 85% of the project's financing if it meets the conditions set-out by the European Commission.

The structure of Lithuania's economy has clearly changed in the long run. In the last 20 years, the share of the agriculture sector in Lithuania's GDP fell threefold, from 11-12% in 1995-1996 to 3.4% in 2014. The share of the industrial sector (including extraction and energy industry) in GDP has not decreased and accounted for 23-24%.
