On Thursday, 18 February, President Dalia Grybauskaitė will travel to Brussels to attend a European Council meeting. Ahead of the United Kingdom's referendum on its membership of the EU, heads of state will seek agreement on Britain's proposed reforms of the Community that would help it stay in the EU. Leaders will also review the implementation of measures to manage the migration crisis.

On February 15 Minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas discussed Lithuania's and Ukraine's defence cooperation with Ambassador of Ukraine in Lithuania HE Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi at a meeting at the Ministry of National Defence.

The European Parliament will welcome national MPs from across Europe on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 February for joint debates with MEPs on the European Semester Cycles 2015/2016 (Tuesday) and on Stability, Economic Coordination and Governance in the European Union (Wednesday). Both events are being held as part of the 2016 edition of the European Parliamentary Week (#EPW16).

At its meeting on 10 February 2016, the Committee on European Affairs of the Seimas discussed the "green card" on corporate social responsibility (CSR) proposed by the National Assembly of France.

On February 10-11, minister of National Defence Juozas Olekas will take part in a meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Defence Ministers in Brussels, Belgium.

The Legal Affairs and Security Committee of the Baltic Assembly (BA) held a meeting at the Seimas, where Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian Parliament Members addressed the issues of refugees, organised crime and terrorism as well as closer cooperation among border guard services.
