At the initiative of President of Lithuania and Chair of the Council of Women World Leaders Dalia Grybauskaitė, a letter calling on the international community to stop violence against women and to reduce its negative economic impact was handed to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The call for action is issued jointly with President Michelle Bachelet of Chile.

In accordance with the Statute, the Seimas approved 15 Committees of the Seimas, namely, Committee on Audit, Committee on Budget and Finance, Committee on Culture, Committee on Economics, Committee on Education and Science, Committee on Environment Protection, Committee on European Affairs, Committee on Foreign Affairs, Committee on Health Affairs, Committee on Human Rights, Committee on Legal Affairs, Committee on National Security and Defence, Committee on Rural Affairs, Committee on Social Affairs and Labour, and Committee on State Administration and Local Authorities, as well as Chairs and Deputy Chairs of the committees. A respective decision was adopted by 121 votes in favour to 1 vote against and 10 abstentions.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius had a meeting with United Kingdom Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Boris Johnson, on 23 November, where they discussed the bilateral partnership between the countries and the security situation in Europe and in its neighbourhood.
