QS World University Rankings 2021 results announced earlier this week revealed that Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) improved 5 out of 6 rankings criteria and is among 1,000 best universities in the world.

June 22nd-29th, 2020, graduation ceremonies will be held at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU).

Eight study programmes of engineering and IT from five Lithuanian higher education institutions have been awarded the Investors’ Spotlight quality labels, Invest Lithuania informs. Among the awardees are two Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) bachelor’s study programmes – Informatics and Automation and Control.

The latest rating of the world's top universities QS World University Ranking 2021 was published, in which Vilnius University (VU) maintains its leading position. Having jumped up by 35 positions, the VU is rated 423 and has been among 500 world's top universities for five years in a row.

Researchers at KTU Centre of Packing Innovations and Research, Lithuania have found a solution, which will help beverage makers to pour the liquid through a 120-micrometre filter from a bottle with solid walls. The invention, commissioned by MV GROUP Production, has already been patented. It will improve the quality of beverages and is suited for mass production.

The new European University – ECIU University – is not shy in taking a novel approach to its board. The board members of all the member universities are participating in making crucial decisions together with seven so-called external, societal stakeholders who take up a pivotal role on the board. University works closely with business, city government and public organisations to solve real-life challenges.

Next year will mark the start of the new Erasmus+ programme, with a twice bigger budget of 30 billion Eur allocated by the European Commission. A bigger share of the programme will be dedicated to the support for education and training projects.
