The EMBRACE project activities and development of Corporate Social Entrepreneurship (CSE) incorporates such tasks as the survey and analysis of corporate social entrepreneurship’s good practices. Therefore, the project’s partners are engaged in finding better and easier ways to help them perform this task. Having this in mind, the project will benefit - with the contribution of SNSPA - UNESCO Chair on Science and Innovation Policies – from a unique tool, the Horizon Search Mechanism (Radar, for short) to identify more information on Corporate Social Entrepreneurship (CSE).

Two representatives of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) are nominated for a Lithuanian National Television Award 2020 in the Discovery of the Year category. The voting was open until Wednesday, December 2; the winners will be announced in the ceremony, which will take place on January 2, 2021.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the education system worldwide. Many learning and teaching processes today take place online. In the middle of November, Lithuania has signed an agreement with the United States to buy four Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters that will replace the Soviet Mi-8T still used by Lithuanian Armed Forces today. Soviet helicopter operational history exceeds 30 years, they are difficult to operate but the society still voices doubts about similar investments in the defence technology.

Based in the Saulėtekis Valley, the largest and most modern research base in Lithuania is going to expand - in three years it will accommodate the modern faculties of Chemistry and Geosciences as well as Mathematics and Informatics of Vilnius University (VU). In this way, the Saulėtekis Valley will be home to the largest centre of life, physical and technological sciences in Lithuania and the Baltic States.

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) has signed a partnership agreement with CEPOL to provide learning opportunities for law enforcement officers across Europe.

According to the analysis of diversity and equal opportunities, in 2018, Vilnius University (VU) had 113 employees from 30 countries (which accounted for 2.3% of all VU employees), and more than 1 000 students who chose to study at VU were citizens of 70 countries. However, according to the interlocutors, VU community members should be given even more opportunities to gain experiences of otherness and diversity, therefore, there could be more both foreign employees and students in the VU.

From October 26 until November 21 study activities at Vilnius University (VU) carried out remotely. According to VU Rector Rimvydas Petrauskas, the exception would apply only to laboratory and other practical classes that require VU equipment, as well as activities necessary for the preparation of students' final theses.
