“Thank you all for the understanding and focus that allows the life of the University to continue successfully even in such uncertain circumstances. However, our health is the most important priority, so I urge you to look at it responsibly,” says VU Rector Prof R. Petrauskas.
From 26 October the Library (Scholarly Communication and Information Centre, Central Library and libraries of the faculties and centers) will provide services only for the members of Vilnius University community once they present their valid cards. As an exception, registered-in-advance visitors who want to read cultural heritage documents kept at the Rare Books or the Manuscripts Divisions of the Central Library also will be provided with services.
The Rector noted that the non-formal adult education programs run by VU during the mentioned period should also be continued at a distance, and if this is not possible, they may be temporarily suspended. All other administrative activities of VU can be continued with the necessary safety recommendations. The Rector also encourages the heads of non-academic departments to review responsibly the work of their teams and carry out the work process applying the rotation method.
All information related to the management of the coronavirus situation at VU is published in a special Covid-19 section of the VU website.
