A group of Lithuanian and Kurdish scientists have raised a hypothesis that the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine could protect children from COVID-19. The hypothesis is based on the discovered sequence similarity of the 30 amino acid residues between glycoproteins of SARS-CoV-2, measles and rubella viruses. An experimental analysis is required in order to support the hypothesis.

Since 2006, Vytautas Magnus University in cooperation with “R1 Lietuva” (former UAB “Intermedix Lietuva”) has established seven one-time scholarships of 200 EUR which are awarded for full-time, final-year students of VMU Bachelor, Master or integrated studies. Scholarships are offered for students with higher academic achievements (total grades average, except for final semester, must be 9,000 or higher) with a priority for students with higher grades average and strong involvement in social and public activities within the university and outside of it. Following the announcement of the opportunity to apply for scholarships, 56 student applications were received, of which 23 students met the formal requirements, and their applications were considered. Scholarships were awarded to students who met the prescribed criteria by a decision for a specially formed commission.

We discussed the new solutions in the construction industry, ways to attract young professionals, communication of the employers and what is to be expected within the next decade.
