The annual hit to the global economy from cybercrime was estimated at more than $6 trillion in 2021. If that were a nation, then the country of cybercrime would be the world's third-largest economy after the United States and China, notes Cybercrime Magazine. Contributions from the EEA and Norway Grants have created a team to investigate human behaviour in cybersecurity and formulate methodologies to fight back. The project Advancing Human Performance in Cybersecurity (ADVANCES) has a spin that will change the way cybercrime is battled.

In April 2022, the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) decided to accredit the MRU Translation and Editing Bachelor‘s Degree studies programme for a 7-year period, the maximum possible. SKVC‘s international expert commission, led by Prof. Dr. Andrew Goodspeed, evaluated the programme in February. The Commission published an expert external evaluation of the first cycle studies in the field of Translation conducted by Mykolas Romeris University.

April 7-11th, 2022, the first and biggest event of the Erasmus Generation took place in Porto and brought together more than 800 participants from all over Europe in a conference on future mobility, with a focus on the new Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027.

In the spring semester of 2021/2022, VILNIUS TECH, the first among the ATHENA European University Alliance partners, organised 3 ECTS “Smart Community” Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) for the students of the Alliance. In the last week of April, the 3rd KTU international teaching week Global Faculty Week 2022 will take place, during which 50 guest lecturers from 22 countries will give lectures to the University students. This year’s event is organised in a mixed way – more than half of the guest lecturers will teach in person.
