On Tuesday, 2 October from 11am to 2pm Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) community will have a unique opportunity to meet the representatives of one of the global automotive industry giants, Continental. On the day, the company will introduce their new products and technologies, will talk about work placement opportunities and will answer the students’ questions.

Earlier this month the lighting and electronics giant HELLA has opened a new plant in Kaunas Free Economic Zone, Invest Lithuania reports. The plant in Lithuania is the 14th electronics plant in the global HELLA network. Researchers from the Faculty of Chemical Technology Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania are developing an artificial bone, which can be used for treating of the most common joint disease – osteoarthritis. The bi-functional composite imitates the complex osteochondral structure of a joint, i.e. both cartilage and bone tissues.
