After the Vilnius international airport is closed for runway reconstruction next summer, the majority of airlines flying to Vilnius will work from Lithuania's second-largest city Kaunas for a month. According to CEO of the Estonian real estate company Ober-Haus AS, Tarmo Kase, the Baltic real estate market is in a slump, but the most promising is the Lithuanian market. Works of the second stage of reconstruction of the runway at Vilnius Airport to be carried out in the summer of 2017 are expected to cost nearly EUR 24 million.
