Eurostat:Lithuania's y-o-y fall in producer prices in Aug sharper than EU average

Lithuania's annual decrease in industrial producer prices in August was larger than the EU average, figures from the EU statistics office Eurostat showed on Tuesday. Lithuania's industrial producer prices in the domestic market fell by 2.8% in August year-on-year, compared with the EU's average rate of decline of 1.6%. Producer prices dropped by 2.7% in Latvia and were down by 3.9% in Estonia. Month-on-month, producer prices edged down by 0.5% in Lithuania, rose by 0.9% in Latvia and held steady in Estonia. Across the EU, the index fell by a monthly 0.2%.
