EconomyUAB Merko bustas, a company of the listed Estonian construction group AS Merko Ehitus, is selling a hotel in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius for 8.7 million euros. SEB Bankas, one of Lithuania's largest bank by assets, and its subsidiaries on Tuesday reported 51.6 mln euros in first-half net profits, up 29% from 40 mln euros in the same period last year. Lithuania's chemicals and agricultural products trade group Imlitex Holdings last year posted 277.864 mln euros in consolidated revenue, up 13.4% from 244.983 mln euros in 2016. Lithuania is set to make an additional contribution to the capital of RB Rail, a joint venture established by the three Baltic countries for the implementation of the European-standard gauge railway project Rail Baltica. Warm and dry weather in the Baltic states pushed electricity prices up last week, independent producer Elektrum Lietuva says. In the first five months of 2018, all Baltic ports together received and shipped 63.56 mln tons of cargo, which was 2.3% or 1.518 mln tons less than in the respective period last year, according to the data released by the Lithuanian Statistical Bureau. A decision by China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries to establish a financial technologies coordination center in Vilnius is a recognition of Lithuania's achievements in this area but does not automatically guarantee Chinese investments in this sector. Lithuania's state-run oil product and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals operator Klaipedos Nafta (Klaipeda Oil) said on Monday that its total first-half revenue edged up by 0.8% to 52.8 mln euros, from 52.4 mln euros in the same period of 2017, according to the company's preliminary first-half results published on the Nasdaq Vilnius website. International packaging manufacturer Retal is investing 4 million euros in its Klaipeda-based subsidiary Retal Baltic, with plans to build a warehouse, administrative premises and a new laboratory. |
