EconomySet for almost two years, the price cap for the basic payment service package offered by commercial banks and credit unions will remain limited to €1.5 (€0.75 for social benefit recipients). Such a decision was taken by the Board of the Bank of Lithuania, which has set the maximum monthly fee for the basic payment account service for 2019. As the European Commission proposes cutting cohesion support to Lithuania by almost a quarter as of 2020, InvestEU, a fund being set up by the EU, might become a financial alternative after it will replace the European Fund for Strategic Investment (EFSI), also called the Juncker Plan, which has operated since 2015. The Lithuanian seaport of Klaipeda saw its net profit for the three quarters fall to 21.535 mln euros, down 9% from 23.656 million euros in the same period last year.
