Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) has signed an agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF) for additional resources to support Polish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Thanks to this agreement under the European Union's SME programme COSME, the supported SME loan volume is expected to reach a total of PLN 10.5 billion (equivalent to almost €2.5 billion). The financial envelope available to SMEs within the scheme has already increased tenfold since its establishment: from the original PLN 800 million to PLN 8.4 billion. First year of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement shows growth in EU exports2020-02-03, 16:321 February 2020 marks the first anniversary of the entry into force of the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). In the first ten months following the implementation of the agreement, EU exports to Japan went up by 6.6% compared to the same period the year before. This outperforms the growth in the past three years, which averaged 4.7% (Eurostat data). Japanese exports to Europe grew by 6.3% in the same period. Speakers from the Western Balkans parliaments will gather at the European Parliament, under President Sassoli's patronage, to discuss European prospects for their region.
