Rūta Meilutytė, a 16 years old Lithuanian swimmer, has won three gold medals at the World School Games that took place from November 28th till December 3rd, 2013 in the capital of Brazil, Brasilia.

Irkutsk became the 65th city to host the Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay. The Two-hundred-and-twenty-seven torchbearers carried the Olympic flame through the streets of Irkutsk, covering a distance of 34.3 km.
