Lithuania-based energy company Kauno Energija got a notice on January 30, 2014, that Vilnius Commercial Arbitration Court made a decision on January 27, 2014, in case No 266, by which it rejected claims of plaintiff – Kauno Termofikacijos Elektrine to defendant Kauno Energija regarding debt in amount of 1,193,978.52 litas for payment for heat supplied by plaintiff in December 2012 and January 2013.

On April 22, SAS launches a new direct route between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Hamburg Airport with two return flights every weekday and one return flight on Sundays. The last time SAS operated this route was 2009, but it is now being reopened in order to meet SAS passengers' needs for routes within Europe.

Lithuania Post's data show that the number of money orders sent to Lithuania in 2013 has increased by 34% if compared with 2012. The number of outgoing money orders has increased by 26%, informed BC post's press service.

Air Lituanica increases its statutory capital to LTL 11.276 million. With an investment of LTL 86,000, Baltic Post UAB has become a direct shareholder of Air Lituanica UAB, whereas Air Lituanica Club, joining over 40 natural and legal persons, has already invested LTL 3.44 million.

The dairy farms of one of the largest agricultural companies in the Baltics – Agrowill Group – sold 19,820 tonnes of milk in 2013 and this was 20% more comparing to 2012.

European deputies and their colleagues from national parliaments met at the European Parliamentary conference from 20 to 22 January in Brussels to mark the beginning of the annual EU national fiscal policy coordination cycle. Parliamentarians want to ensure that measures aimed at reining-in budget deficits and public debt take into account the social dimension and pointed out that as they are run today, austerity programmes for bail-out countries lack democratic legitimacy.
