The headquarters of Wix are located in Tel Aviv (Israel), while its offices operate in San Francisco (USA), New York (USA), Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine) and Vilnius.
The facilities of the new office in Vilnius include work spaces for IT specialists, three meeting rooms with sound insulation, a relaxation area and a kitchen with smart technology.
Wix started its operation in Lithuania last autumn. The company, which offers a reliable HTML5 tool for website development, enables more than 46 million users worldwide to create and manage modern websites as well as place them online without any knowledge of software development or design. About 50 thousand Lithuanians have already created their websites on the Wix platform.
In 2014, fDi Magazine, a publication of the Financial Times, which publishes news about foreign direct investment and a global overview on investment, has placed Vilnius first in terms of economic efficiency of investment. Vilnius has got ahead of such cities as Gdansk (Poland), Brno (Slovakia) and Tallinn (Estonia). In 2011-2013, according to fDi Markets, Vilnius witnessed the start of implementation of 56 international investment projects, which would create almost 4 thousand jobs.
