The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a son on Monday, the third in line to the throne, a baby destined to be the 43rd monarch since William the Conqueror obtained the English crown in 1066.

'At 3 am in the morning Ukrainians started mass massacres at all the villages and colonies. The massacres were organized in a way that all the Poles would be killed in the villages inhabited by Ukrainians. It is important to note that Ukrainians did such killings during their festivities. Axes were specifically attacked to long handles and Ukrainians would burst into Polish houses and kill everybody - men, women, elders, children who were torn or taken on their hands or legs and their heads were beaten to the posts. This June more than half of Lithuanians – 55 % - thought that the current situation in the country are getting worse. 44 %, on the other hand, said that the situation is improving.

The first two satellites developed by Lithuanian scientists will be launched into space this autumn.

As part of a Vilnius City Municipality initiative, JCDecaux will open 24 bike stations in the city center that will offer riders more than 200 bikes for rent. Investments into the project have reached 6.4 mil. Euros.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė attended the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Darius and Girėnas transatlantic flight. The President laid a wreath of flowers at the monument marking the site where the two pilots perished near the Polish village of Pszczelnik.
