Each country that is a euro zone member has the right to mint coins with the national symbols. Though Andorra is not a member state of the European Union, by unique monetary agreement it has the right to mint its own coins. While executing this power the Andorrans' made their own project of the coin, which represents their country, history and culture in a broad sense. As a consequence one of its most celebrated artistic works, the Christ Pantocrator of the Romanesque church of Sant Martí de la Cortinada, was chosen as one of the images of a new coin. Andorra is a tiny principality, between France and Spain; with the predominantly population (90%) of Roman Catholic. Also, it has two leaders, which are: President of France and the Bishop of Urgell, Catalunya, Spain. Despite its Christian identity, Andorra was under pressure to change the project. In the end, the European Commission has agreed on a new project, with the bell tower on the averse.
It is not the first time when the EU led institutions had made a suggestion towards national governments to change the project of the coins because of Christian symbols. Same situation had taken place last year when the European Commission has asked the Slovak Central Bank to remove Christian insignias. Eventually, the Slovak government refused to alter the project and the effigy of the Saints Cyril and Methodius have been minted on the 2 euro coin. It is an example, of that as long as we remain firm defending Christian values there is a possibility to alter the present. Contemporary European Union is the denial of the fundamental ideas that guided the founding fathers of the European union. Robert Shuman has said "European democracy has to be Christian or otherwise there will be no democracy at all". Dominated by the left winged-atheist mood European Union is fighting against the Christian symbols, which have been bounded with European civilisation for the last two thousand years. The masterpiece of the
founding fathers is being destroyed with Jacobin determination. Europe is fighting its Christian roots, but in the same moment is it harming itself. The history standing behind the origins of the EU flag is being altered, due to political correctness. Official version stated that: the European flag consists of 12 golden stars in a circle on a blue background. The stars symbolise the ideals of unity, solidarity and harmony among the peoples of Europe. The number 12 has been chosen
as, the symbol of completeness and perfection. The real truth is uncomfortably acceptable for the current eurocrats. That is why it is worth it to recall, in order to move the consciences of Europeans.
Not everyone knows that the Arsene Heitz, designer of the EU flag, was inspired by the twelve stars from the Miraculous Medal, known for apparitions of Mother of God for Catherine Labouré. There were several attempts to cover up this story, but the author, just before his death
has confessed that he was inspired after the image of the virgin mary immaculately conceived, where She is presented in the azure background, and her head is surrounded by the 12 stars.
The search for the European symbol begun in 1950 and after a long process of disputes and numerous proposals in 1953, the Council of Europe decided to favour the constellation of stars on a blue background proposed by the Arsene Heitz from Alsace. When the Paul Levy, the man in charge of the European Flag asked Heitz to prepare a project he thought of 12 stars that are surrounding Virgin Mary and and place them on the background color of the Virgin Mary. As a
consequence, the flag of Europe is the banner of the Virgin Mary, which has its own referral in the Book of Revelations "A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head" (Ap 12, 1). In addition, the unanimous of the flag by the Committee of the Ministers of the Council of Europe took place on the celebration of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, 1955. Before voting in the Committee of Ministers, Robert Schuman and Konrad Adenauer prayed together in front of the Immaculate Conception in the Strasbourg's Cathedral. When the European flag was approved on October 21, 1956 it was hanged on a Strasbourg's Cathedral as on a first public building.
These are the foundations of the European Community and the way that it looks today - we can see ourselves. The future of the European Union will depend on that whether we will successfully defend Christian values, or we will surrender to the dictate of anti-Christian hysteria that comes from Brussels and thereby renouncing European identity and tradition. Let us remember that in the next year's elections to the European Parliament.
