The Lithuanian Programme for Renovation of Multi-Apartment Buildings has reached a strategic turning-point. The Programme, which was funded by the state budget and the European Union Structural Funds till now, has found a private investor – Siauliu Bankas.

At the end of December the first short-range MANPADs GROM shipment reached the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Lithuania has procured from the Polish company MESKO S.A.

An international panel of experts has recommended to the European Commission to approve Kaunas City Municipality's application Kaunas of 1919-1940 and to include the city in the list of the European Heritage Label sites. The European Commission will adopt a decision by 15 February 2015.

On 23 December, Lithuania's National Control Commission for Prices and Energy adopted a decision to publish adjusted AB LESTO prices for electricity transportation service and public electricity and their application procedures effective from 1 January 2015.

Vilnius Christmas tradition – a 3D Christmas Fairytale – in recent years has become the most welcome winter holiday event in the capital of Lithuania.

Estonian construction concern AS Merko Ehitus group informed the Tallinn Stock Exchange of getting a 15 mln euro contract in Lithuania.

Upon completion of the active deployment phase with NATO Response Force, Lithuanian Naval Ship LNS Jotvingis, a flag ship of Standing NATO Mine Counter Measures Group One (SNMCMG1), returned to Klaipėda, Lithuania, on 17 December. Lithuanian Navy Officer Commander Giedrius Premeneckas will continue to command SNMCMG1 from this ship up to the end of January 2015.

Jurgita Kazlauskiene has been selected to head the State Tourism Department (VTD). Up until now, she worked as the deputy president of the European Spas Association, also led the Lithuanian Spas Association.
