President Dalia Grybauskaitė together with Archbishop of Vilnius Gintaras Grušas visited St. Peter and St. Paul's Church parish house where they met with a refugee family from Iraq living there and volunteers who take care of them. Two months ago, three Iraqi Christian families – a total of 15 people – were resettled to Lithuania because of religious persecution.

The current unpredictable economic situation in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine forces businessmen to seek a safe haven for their money and ideas in the West. From year to year the number of companies that have moved from the CIS countries to Lithuania is increasing.
