The Lithuanian seaport of Klaipeda posted a 5% growth to 35.135 million tons in cargo traffic for the 11 months through November and expects its full-year cargo volume to reach 38 million tons.

Companies interested in developing wind farm projects off the coast of Lithuania say that their plans are hampered by the Energy Ministry's proposal that the necessary research should be carried out by the state, rather than businesses, but the ministry replies that privately-funded research could be biased.
