In February alone, new car registrations surged to 1,619 units, up 36% from 1,188 in the same month last year.
"Re-exports remain among the important factors that are driving growth in the market: 177 of the new cars registered in February were removed from the register by the end of the month and at least 16 more will be deregistered shortly," the market research company said in a press release.
Fiat last month held onto its number-one spot in Lithuania's new car market with 233 new cars registered, leaving Volkswagen in second place with 192 registrations. Skoda came in third with 167 registrations.
Audi ranked first in the premium car segment with 33 registrations.
