"Lithuania and Kazakhstan enjoy constructive and friendly political and economic relations that improve each year. Kazakhstan is a key trading partner of our country. Moreover, we see enormous potential for the development of economic, cultural, political and educational cooperation as well," Grauziniene said.
The leader of the Seimas believes that we should not be confined to economic cooperation which dynamics is increasing significantly. The last-year trade turnover between the two countries amounted to nearly one billion euro. Lithuania may offer to Kazakhs not only a well-developed transport infrastructure and access to the Klaipeda Seaport and logistics centres, but also new opportunities in highly promising areas such as education, medicine, information technology and tourism.
"Kazakhstan is very interested in Lithuanian achievements and projects based on leading-edge technologies. I wish and believe there will be new projects in the future, which will significantly contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation," Grauziniene noted.
