The President expressed her strong hope that bilateral relations between Lithuania and Brazil would continue to expand in the years ahead.
In her message of congratulations, the President pointed out that Brazil was going to host the world's largest sporting event in Rio de Janeiro next year – the thirty-first Summer Olympic Games. She extended her best wishes for success in creating a truly memorable international sports celebration which would enhance solidarity among both Brazilians and foreign guests.
On Independence Day, the Dalia Grybauskaitė wished President Dilmą Rousseff and the people of Brazil continued success, well-being and prosperity.
