The documents established commitments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of the Republic of Ecuador to conduct consultations on bilateral and international matters.
The Vice-Minister emphasised the significance of relations among people of the two countries and invited Ecuadorian citizens to study in Lithuania at the meeting with the ambassador residing in Stockholm.
"Thousands of foreign students choose Lithuania due to high quality-price ratio. Lithuanian institutions of higher education are known for their progress in engineering, medicine, biotechnologies and information technology", said Krivas.
The Vice-Minister invited Ecuadorian life sciences experts to the Life Sciences Baltics forum to be held next year in Lithuania, and extended an invitation to agricultural producers to the international exhibition and fair for agriculture and food industry AgroBalt in 2016.
Krivas highlighted that exports of goods from Lithuania to Ecuador increased nearly five times last year alone, therefore there is a lot of room for further cooperation in this area.
Cooperation in the UNESCO and other international organisations were among the questions discussed at the meeting.
Vice-Minister also presented Lithuania's position on Russia's aggression against Ukraine and emphasised the importance of unanimous global response to Russia's actions and highlighted the need to support Ukraine and reforms in the country.
