The EU-China summit takes place on Monday 29 June in Brussels. The summit is to set priorities for the EU-China partnership and reaffirm support for an EU-China comprehensive agreement on investment. European and Chinese leaders will also discuss how to better cooperate on security issues, both at a regional and a global level.
China is a strategic European partner on a series of issues, such as security, trade and sustainable development. The EU-China relationship is already 40 years old and has great potential for the future, Schulz said in a tweet after the meeting at the Parliament.
