"I firmly believe that that the trust given to you by the citizens of Poland will inspire you for important work in pursuit of the interest of your country and its people. I wish you the drive and commitment needed to implement the defined objectives and bring through new major initiatives of key importance to Poland, the region and the whole of Europe," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
According to the President, by using even more effectively cooperation opportunities at bilateral level as well as by developing mutually beneficial initiatives within the European Union and NATO the two countries will significantly contribute to maintaining greater security and well-being in our region and across the continent.
It is also important to further develop cooperation between Lithuania and Poland in the fields of security, economy and energy.
Dalia Grybauskaitė wished the President-elect of Poland strong resolve and continued success in performing the important and responsible duties of his position. She also sent her best wishes for the security and well-being of the Polish people.
