Activities in Brussels
During the Open Doors Day in Brussels, visitors will be able find out how the Parliament operates by visiting information stands and participating in games and challenges, while fair-trade prizes will be given to the winners of a special electronic quiz.
As it is the European Year for Development, people will be able to participate in discussions on development issues with MEPs and experts. In addition a series of mini-conferences on key development topics will be organised, while a thematic village will bring together organisations that are active in the field of development cooperation.
Open day in Strasbourg
The Parliament already hosted the Open Doors Day in Strasbourg on 2 May, when more than 18,000 people took the opportunity to learn more about the institution's work and the European Union. Visitors could explore the building and also debate the European Year for Development with MEPs.
