Russia evacuates 128 people from Nepal, including Latvian citizens

Two airplanes of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry were seen departing from Nepal's capital Kathmandu, carrying several Russian, Latvian, and other countries' citizens from the earthquake stricken country, the Russian Embassy to Nepal announced. Aboard the airplanes are 128 citizens from Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Latvia, Ukraine, and Israel, the embassy says. Nepal's Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday that the 7.8 magnitude earthquake has resulted in 5,057 deaths. About 10,000 people are injured. Several hundred people are left homeless, as their homes have been ravaged by the earthquake. Death toll in India and China has reached about 100.
