Lithuania's Foreign Minister pointed out that the cooperation between Lithuania and China had been increasing on both - bilateral and multilateral - levels.
Lithuania hopes that China will grant an export permit for milk and meat products in the short run. The Ambassador stressed that the Baltic region was becoming increasingly important for the Europe-China transport corridor.
The Ambassador drew attention to the fact that the bilateral relations would mark the 25th anniversary next year and it was a great opportunity to speed up the ongoing cooperation as well as consider continuation of the dialogue.
40th anniversary of the establishment of relations between the European Union and China was discussed at the meeting too. China supports European integration and sees Lithuania's active role in this process.
At the meeting of Chinese Ambassador with Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Rolandas Kriščiūnas it was noted that China's cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe is of great importance for further development of bilateral relations.
