"We particularly value the United States' strategic partnership which contributes to security in Lithuania and the entire region. The US leadership in implementing the decisions made at the NATO Summit in Wales, also in preventing the spread of Russia's aggression, is very necessary," the Lithuanian minister said.
Kerry thanked for Lithuania's activities contributing to the increase of the international security, efforts to defend Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and stated again that commitments under the NATO's Article 5 remain firm and undisputed.
"We respect the great achievements made by Lithuania in the years of independence and would like to assure you that the US remains your friend," Kerry said to Linkevicius.
