During a meeting with Anwar Gargash, foreign minister of UAE, the officials welcomed intensifying bilateral relations, the recent visit of Lithuanian economy minister's delegation to UAE. The foreign ministers discussed the upcoming visit of Lithuania's prime minister. The officials also discussed the events in the Middle East region.
Linkevicius and New Zealand's Foreign Minister Murray Mccully discussed the upcoming Linkevicius' visit to New Zealand on 19-20 March. During the visit, it is expected to sign an agreement regarding "work holidays", which would open up doors for Lithuanian youth to gain experience in New Zealand.
Also, during the foreign minister's visit to the country, Lithuania will open a honorary consulate in Auckland. In a meeting with Malaysian Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, Minister Linkevicius discussed a possibility for a Lithuanian business mission to go to Malaysia in late August.
