During a roundtable discussion which will also be attended by top executives of the world's largest energy companies, influential experts and analysts who are shaping global energy trends, Dalia Grybauskaitė will present Lithuania's experience in strengthening energy security and discuss the impact of geopolitical challenges on the global energy market.
In Davos, the Lithuanian President will meet with the founder of the Forum, Professor Klaus Schwab, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Angel Gurria, will participate in a closed discussion of the most influential global economic leaders on the new global context for strategic competition, and will exchange views on topical political issues with other heads of state.
This will be the 45th time Davos hosts the World Economic Forum since 1971. This year's forum, a meeting where informal discussions on most important political and economic issues are held, involves around 300 heads of state and government and other representatives, and about 1.5 thousand economic leaders from more than 140 countries.
