"Lithuania and Switzerland have developed a strong relationship built on trust and common values throughout decades of consistent collaboration. I am pleased to note that, in recent years, an increasing number of initiatives are being launched by the people of both countries to pursue new avenues of cooperation in trade, investment, culture, education, and science," the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
The Lithuanian head of state underlined that a full and open dialogue would further strengthen our bilateral relations and contribute to better mutual understanding of our cultures and traditions.
President Grybauskaitė wished the Swiss President the best of success in performing the important and responsible duties of her position.
