During the plenary session of the Summit, leaders will discuss the further development of infrastructure and connectivity along the North–South axis, including transport and energy projects, enhancing military mobility, strengthening cybersecurity, and supporting Ukraine in rebuilding its war-damaged infrastructure. They will also address cooperation with strategic partners, namely the United States, the European Commission, Germany, and Japan. The heads of state are expected to adopt a joint declaration at the 3SI meeting.
On Tuesday, Gitanas Nausėda will take part in a high-level policy debate at the International Business Forum.
First Lady Diana Nausėdienė will join a program for the spouses of heads of state during the Three Seas Initiative Summit, hosted by Polish First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda.
The Three Seas Initiative unites thirteen European Union countries located between the Baltic, Black, and Adriatic Seas: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Its strategic partners include the United States, Germany, the European Commission, and Japan, while Ukraine and Moldova hold associated country status.
The Initiative aims to accelerate regional development and economic convergence, strengthen North–South connectivity in transport, energy, and digital infrastructure, boost EU cohesion, and deepen transatlantic ties between the European Union and the United States.
