Minister Landsbergis commended Armenia for its efforts to continue on the path of democratic reforms, take steps towards diversifying its foreign policy, and strengthen its resilience.
"Armenia's aspiration to move closer to the EU strengthens the entire region. More EU in Armenia means more resilience, stronger economy and democracy, and more support for difficult but necessary changes," Landsbergis said at the meeting.
At the meeting, the ministers also discussed Lithuania's consistent support for a more active EU role in Armenia, deepening relations between the EU and Armenia, and strengthening the EU's financial and expert support for reforms.
The Lithuanian and Armenian foreign ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on European Union-related topics. The Memorandum confirms the commitment of both countries to work together and thus deepen Armenia's relations with the EU.
"Lithuania, which this year celebrates the 20th anniversary of its membership in the EU, has gained valuable experience of transformation. We are willing and able to share this experience with you, especially in the areas of cyber security, energy diversification and economic security," said Minister Landsbergis.
The head of Lithuanian diplomacy thanked Armenia for supporting Ukraine. "The security and stability of both the Baltic Sea and South Caucasus regions depend on Ukraine's victory."
