These initiatives align with Lithuania’s priorities for supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction and recovery, addressing the most urgent needs in the reconstruction of Ukraine’s education network and in medical and psychosocial rehabilitation and reintegration—areas where Lithuania has already gained significant experience.
The estimated value of the project for the reconstruction of the Zelenj Hai school is EUR 2.7 million, with EUR 1.35 million coming from the state budget allocation designated for the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund, and the rest from the contribution of the target partner. The project will rebuild a new modular school and equip it with a new shelter.
Up to EUR 10 million will go for the financing and implementation of the programme for the rehabilitation and reintegration of those wounded and war-affected in Ukraine. The Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund is earmarked for the implementation of three projects: the reconstruction of the Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Centre of the Dnipro State University Hospital; the reconstruction of the Briukhovichi branch of the Rehabilitation Centre, Unbroken, in Lvyiv, and strengthening of institutions and organizations that provide rehabilitation and reintegration services, and development of these services.
The Central Project Management Agency is a Lithuanian authority running the projects.
