In his meeting with Berlin-based Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea, the President underlined the interest in promoting bilateral cooperation, especially in prospective areas such as renewable energy, agriculture, and information technology. With the new Ambassador, the Head of State discussed the security situation in the West African region, as well as the global implications of Russia’s war against Ukraine and Russia’s accountability for its military actions. Aliou Barry is the first Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Lithuania.
At the meeting with the Ambassador of Nepal to Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda emphasized that Nepal is an important partner of Lithuania in the Indo-Pacific region. The President underlined the growing bilateral academic cooperation, ongoing visits of teachers and scientists, as well as student exchanges. According to the Head of State, we have the potential to further develop bilateral relations in education, culture, and economy. During the meeting, President Gitanas Nausėda pointed out that Lithuania welcomes Nepal’s position on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, condemning the invasion and demanding the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.
