The Head of State welcomed the bonds of friendship between Lithuania and South Korea, as well as the growing bilateral relations and cooperation at international level.
According to the President, the Republic of Korea is one of the most advanced and important strategic partners of the European Union in the region. Gitanas Nausėda underlined that Lithuania looks forward to fully strengthening the cooperation with the Republic of Korea, especially in the fields of high technology and innovation, security and defense industries.
President Gitanas Nausėda pointed out that the contribution of South Korea to peace and security in the region is very important. The Head of State noted that during the NATO Summit in Vilnius, the partnership between NATO and South Korea was reinforced and key issues of cooperation were discussed, and welcomed the upcoming opening of the Korean Embassy in Vilnius.
On national day, Gitanas Nausėda wished the President of the Republic of Korea and all Koreans years of well-being, peace, prosperity, and every success.
