The Lithuanian and Latvian Presidents will discuss the security and defense situation in the region, concrete steps to deliver on the decisions taken at the Vilnius NATO Summit, support for Ukraine, Russia’s accountability for war crimes and the crime of aggression, as well as sanctions against the aggressor Russia and its satellite Belarus. Special focus will be placed on expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Latvia in economic, cultural, educational, and scientific fields, as well as on the implementation and acceleration of infrastructure projects, including the synchronization of electricity grids with Continental Europe.
