On Monday, 10 July, a brief meeting of the two leaders planned at Vilnius Airport.
On Tuesday, 11 July, an official welcoming ceremony for the U.S. President will be held in the Courtyard of the Presidential Palace.
Later, the Lithuanian and U.S. leaders will hold a bilateral meeting to discuss support for Ukraine, measures to reinforce NATO’s eastern flank, and the response to Belarus-backed Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.
On Wednesday, 12 July, President Gitanas Nausėda will participate in a special event in the Grand Courtyard of Vilnius University, during which the President of the United States of America will address the Lithuanian people.
Information for the media:
Evening of 10 July – media representatives will be able to cover the arrival of the U.S. President. It will be broadcast by NATO Host TV (video footage will be available in the NATO multimedia library).
11 July, 10.15 a.m. – media representatives will be able to cover the official welcoming ceremony of the U.S. President in the Courtyard of the Presidential Palace, and at 10.25 a.m. – the official photo / signing of the guest book ceremony in the White Hall of the Presidential Palace.
To register for the event, you need to fill in a special registration form. Due to restricted space, priority will be given to the Lithuanian and the U.S. media. Please arrive at the event no later than 9.15 a.m.
NB: When registering, you must select one of the two media pools: the Outdoor (Presidential Courtyard) or the Indoor (White Hall). The White Hall offers more space for the media. Movement between the two pools will not be possible.
At the start of the bilateral meeting, a selected small group of media will have the opportunity for protocol videos and photos.
Evening of 12 July – media representatives will have the opportunity to cover the U.S. President’s speech in the Grand Courtyard of Vilnius University. More information will be available on Bidenvilnius.com closer to the event.
