Gitanas Nausėda to meet with US President Joe Biden in Warsaw

On 22 February, President Gitanas Nausėda leaves for Warsaw, where he and the leaders of NATO’s eastern flank—the so-called Bucharest Nine—will meet with the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg. The meeting is expected to focus on regional security, support for Ukraine and preparations for the NATO summit in Vilnius this July. Issues to be discussed in Warsaw will also cover regional forward defense, air defense systems, and increased investment in the defense industry. The Bucharest Nine includes Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia.
