Foreign ministers will discuss the situation in Ukraine, the EU’s further macro-financial and military assistance to Ukraine, Russia’s accountability for war crimes and crimes against humanity, and the crime of aggression.
Foreign ministers will exchange views on Iran’s internal situation, particularly the human rights situation, continued peaceful protests and brutal repression of peaceful demonstrators, military support for Russia’s war in Ukraine, and the EU action, including additional sanctions against Iran.
The Council will be preceded by the EU Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers meeting, which will focus on the future challenges of the Eastern Partnership and ways to strengthen cooperation between the EU and the Eastern partners in the context of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
