The resolution condemns Russia’s attempted illegal annexation of the Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine, emphasizing that the Ukrainian territory has actually been temporarily occupied by Russia in violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence, and the principles of the UN Charter.
The resolution calls on the international community not to recognize any alteration of the status of these territories. The document also demands that Russia “immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from the territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
